Acarsaid is a much loved family home which has been in our family for nearly 70 years, passed down through 3 generations.
Superbly located on Argyll's west coast, overlooking Loch Craignish, Acarsaid is one mile east of Ardfern village, on the single track B8002 just over half a mile from the junction with the main A816 road between Lochgilphead (14 miles) and Oban (25 miles).
The house is spacious, well equipped, with a large sunny dining kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms (3 double bedrooms and 1 smaller single bedroom with bunkbeds) which can comfortably accommodate 10 - and have been known to sleep 14! The house has plentiful hot water, good wifi connection and an open fireplace in the living room that will take both wood and coal - perfect for cosy nights.
The 4 acre garden provides ample space for children to play, and within the adjacent garage there are 2 sea kayaks, a Canadian canoe, an inflatable paddleboard and an assortment of mountain bikes (please be aware there is no insurance cover so all activities are at your own risk).
Immediately opposite the house there is a small island accessible via a causeway which is open to the public and contains a large slipway and pontoon providing easy access to the loch for kayaks, canoes, paddleboarders and swimmers alike.
There are also numerous outdoor activities to be enjoyed in the surrounding country seaside, including several sandy beaches within easy reach, and the nearby village of Ardfern contains an excellent general store, pub/hotel/restaurant, separate coffee shop and comprehensive marina chandlery.
